I'm not really bothered about what you think of me for this so no need to reply but yes I'm serious.
I have no fucking idea if R Kelly is serious or hilarious, he is so fucking obtuse and odd it's unreal. I couldn't care less if he's intelligent or not he truly is original.
I guess you could call bands like Repulsion and Cryptic Slaughter original for their influence but when you look at the music it's a pretty basic concept of adding some more muscle to what already existed.
This Heat were amazingly prolific when it came to originality, hardly any of the songs seem to be anyway linked genre wise, each piece is another exploration in some weird fucking direction that you could link to a whole genre growth after it. I've heard a lot of people say that they invented post rock a good few decades before Slint started playing, I dunno about that but still. I'm sure not everything they did was 100% new but you couldn't really call them unoriginal, they make my whole record collection look drab.
Obviously both Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart (hey I used those guys in the same sentence) were hugely original.
Ornette Coleman and John Coltrane. I'm pretty predictable. Bye.

It's the only way I'll be able to achieve the sound I hear in my head.

You named 6 original artists. R Kelly is not one of them. I think you finally went insane.
