i have a box of cards somewhere. i never really learned how to play, but the kid who lived across from my in college one year had several "decks" he would play with. when i told him i had some cards at home he made me bring them back from a vacation with me. he went gaga over something or other, saying it was one of the more expensive cards on ebay. then he flipped through the rest of the box and it turned out i had six more of that card. pretty funny stuff.

CRAP. wf 2 because he was a nice kid once you got past the hideous complexion and crippling smell emanating from his room.

I've made a good amount of money from MTG, both f2f and online. I'm mostly a limited player, which means I spend to make, and most of the 'spending' is time. Time I have less and less of lately. And a new set is popping out each month online, which is way too much to keep up with, so I don't play now. I used to play built standard all the time, but Counterspell rotated out and I could have gave a shit about the format. Now standard is all acceleration and combo. Jesus - you cats see the new classic format ZERO TURN KILL deck? Is that fun, or even worth betting against? Ranting...

Anyway, limited Magic = NC. New standard (for the last 5 years) = C. Any non-standard format = C.

I plan to switch to a poker variant.

That sucks. The good news is that (a) Wizards will probably kill this combo soon, maybe by banning one of the key pieces, or maybe by errataing one of them, and (b) I only play casual, where my friends play for fun, not primarily to win, and can't afford four each of those cards anyway. Also, the whole combo fails if your opponent has a Simian Spirit Guide and a Red Elemental Blast.

I agree, I think Limited will always be NC. On the rare occasion I play competitively, it's always sealed deck/booster draft. Constructed is basically crap. But casual, casual is where it's at.
Why do you make it so scary to post here.

I used to play this game in HS years and years and years ago. I schooled many players. I even had the audacity to have a 5 color deck that beat everything except a championship level time-deck. I could not do shit against it.

I never played tournaments, but I played against many tournament players.

I was not much of a dork, plus I had no money. My friend and I just had a great scheme for getting good cards.

I left after the game got watered down and they reissued all the old cards.

NC, but a hefty amount of waffles.
