haha, I was at that show and it was my first concert too! Merriweather Post Pavillion in 1985. My gawd I was blown away.

Marsupialized my second show was Metallica opening for Ozzy in '86 also at MPP.

Furthermore in 1990 I saw that same Faith No More/Soundgarden/Voivod headlining tour at a club called the Bayou in DC. I vaguely remember Chris Cornell diving off the stage onto my injured shoulder. All three bands were incredible.

And our band opened for Breaking Circus the first time they, or we, ever played publicly in Chicago. (That's how low I am on the totem pole of rock.)

First show I went to *might* have been Roy Orbison. I went with my aunt, who was a huge Elvis fan, and I remember they did "Pretty Woman", and the singer had those big glasses on and a big head of slicked back black hair. But I've asked her about this, and she can't remember, and I was just a kid. So who knows. Maybe it was a Roy Orbison pretender.

In high school I saw Blood, Sweat, and Tears, Stephen Stills, and Dionne Warwicke. Here are my excuses. I didn't know anything about music back then, and each time I was only interested in the girl I was on a date with.

My first college concert was the James Gang. Here are my excuses. I was a freshman, I wanted to meet co-eds, I was too young to get into bars, and there is nothing to do in Charleston Illinois.

My first punk concert was the New York Dolls at the Aragon Ballroom on or close to New Years eve in (I think) 1973. No excuses needed. Some will disagree as to whether they can properly be called "punk." If you had been there you wouldn't. Possibly the only concert that actually changed my life.

First Punk Rock show was this RANT festival in Louisville. The most notable bands remembered are Rodan, Bush League, and Evergreen.

Hey man, been a while! Hope you're good. Do you know if there are any audio or vid recordings from that festival? I know Steve G has some but...

My first show - Willie Nelson in Louisville with my parents in 76 I think. I was about 3, and supposedly was exhibiting my enjoyment by doing the baby-dance (knee-bending diaper-butt bouncing while drooling, babbling, and clapping most likely) in the aisles and cracking people up. These laughing people may have been "stoned".

First show of my own volition is a blur, but I am 100% sure it was an all-ages in the Bardstown Rd area og Louisville, KY in 1988 - bands could have been most anyone playing at the time. Most likely Undermine, Cinderblock (Evergreen), Crain. Might have been a St Francis battle of the bands at the VFW. Or it very well could have been Oblong Box at the Louisville Fairgrounds, or whatever it's called.
