He's our asshole.

You're just playin' at it.
Please, please get in a war with him.

As tommydski mentioned Mayfair is/was Mark Greenberg. Max is another keyboard player from Chicago. A nice guy.

Mayfair is indeed missed. I ran into him at the grocery the other day. What a fucking great guy.

They're touring with a fella named Ryan on drums. I don't know what band he's from. Very good, though, and enthusiastic.

He went to bed about a decade ago, or whenever he sold his soul to the bankers and the elites.

I like them, but i have really hard recognizing their songs from each other. It sounds like they came up with really good hood and then totally overplayed it. Because of that I much prefer Sterolab or Broken Social Scene when I'm in mood for well made pop music. There is just much more going on there.
But, as a lot pf PRFers are saying, it is good music one can play in almost every circumstances and no one will tell to turn this unslistenable thing off.

Sea and Cake bass lines : NC, no waffles.

Edit: Also, John McEntire drumming is over-rated. In Sea and Cake, in Tortoise, in general. He is a good drummer, he knows what he is doing, but I can't hear how so many people go on how he is one of the best drummers of "our age". He is not even close of being the best drummer in Tortoise.
