YES! For those of you who think of the Verve as a one hit wonder, please listen to, "A Storm in Heaven," the extremely rare "Voyager," or any other early live bootleg you can find online. Nick McCabe's guitar playing is a force. They had to hire two guitarists and play a tape loop of him just to recreate his sound live, when he left the band mid-way through a tour.

mccabe is one of my favorite guitar players. ashcroft is a gallagher bros.-style cunt. he did write 'the drugs don't work' though. urban hymns is a very underrated album.

I don't like ambient music and I've always hated the verve.
That said, i absolutely love nick mccabe's guitar and I'm actually very excited.
