By turns thoughtful and melancholy, dissonant and mathy. This is a fairly interesting record, despite the shrill, Transistor Transistor-style vocals.

.

This record is still very much in print, and worth BUYING from forum member Turnbullac's record label Sickroom Records.

So yeah.

Uh, OK link deleted.

My apologies.

I'll put up some avant garde jazz to make up for it.

Derek Bailey, Evan Parker and Anthony Braxton. Gimme a few minutes here...

I missed out on the Big Black...I was snoozin'.

The Rapeman stuff was greatly appreciated by me, Stevie...that band seems totally lost in time...and it was so fucking good.

I guess it shouldn't be posted here...but what the hell? It's hard to know where to draw the line exactly...plus Rapeman is such a weird wrinkle in time...so awesome...if it wasn't an Albini project, that would be the sort of recording to post here, you know? I mean...the Early Lines stuff...it was recorded at EA, right? Isn't that tacky to post here?

On a side note, I can't really get into that Early Lines stuff. I was wondering if anybody else felt this way...I don't understand why it's not doin' it for me.

Personally, I can understand both sides of the argument here and as a noob to this board, respect posters like Nina and the others' feelings but I think these Big Black / Rapeman uploads were only done with the best of intentions (non profit), and as someone who owns all both bands records but is too young to have seen 'em live, it made my week downloading some new live Rapeman and BB after years of searching, so thanks a lot :) I still haven't formed an opinion on if it's right or not but i don't feel guilty, but i'm sure i would if i knew any of the band members personally... Arghh i know i just totally contradicted myself i just can't make up my mind on this.
Oh and i like the Early Lines EP, just not the album, not sure why either...

I never listened to the EP after listening to the album, I'll make sure to check it out now.
