fugazi and the ex. dec. 07, 1999.

blew my fuckin' mind.

btw: fugazi got blown way off the stage. the ex should've gone on second.

Same thing happened when I saw that tour in Seattle, and I really like Fugazi.

First show ever: Joan Jett at the Chase County Fair in maybe 87 or 88. That's Chase County Nebraska, where Joan was rocking the rodeo arena. I remember feeling bad for her having to play that joint, but it was a good show.

The opening act?

First show:

1990 (91?)

Vassar College

Rollins Band (Turned On tour when they were still fresh and good)
Seperate Peace
Your Mom (seriously, a real band from Vassar)

The whole place reeked of patchouli. This was only the second time I'd smelled the stuff- the first was my first DK tape, someone had got patchouli on the lyrics sheet- and from then on I associated the smell with punk/hardcore. I apologize to my friends for wearing the shit for a few years. Sorry, but you know how powerful scent memories can be.

I drove down to Vassar to see the Babylon Dance Band and Antietam play at about this time. Did you happen to attend this show?
