Sting made such a name for himself as a solo act, trying to (it seemed to me) distance himself from The Police. Sting Sting Sting... all about Sting. I think it would be funny (if one were to actually run into him) to say "Hey, what's your name again? Weren't you once the lead singer for The Police? What ever happened to you guys? You were in a pretty good band there."

I've heard people refer to "Sting" as "Stink"

I knew a guy in high school who couldn't stand the sound of Sting's voice... like nails on a blackboard...

I like a few of their songs.

I absolutly love this band despite sting being a complete new age shithead.

WOW. Saw the shows here in Chicago. Yea, I said it shows(multiple.) Holy shit!! stewart copeland is every bit as good live as one would imagine. AT one point he was running back and forth between a vibraphone and his drum kit, while not missing a beat.

Andy Summers guitar playing was much better than expected and I had high expectations.

When they jammed they sounded great, but sting would always cut the jam short. Right when they would get into a groove he would start singing his E YO OH! bullshit and end it. When sting was kept at bay they were really fucking good.

The funny thing was that the show was lost on 85% of the crowd. THe crowd was like the guy with girlfriend in front of me. He was a really big douche who was dancing off beat, in a night at the Roxbury style and also patting his girlfriends ass to the wrong beat.

No one appreciated any musicianship and just wanted to hear Sting play the hits note for note. Watching the crowd during Every Breath You Take was great. All these assholes bear hugged their significant others sang the song drunkenly in their girls face. I started laughing my ass off when just then a hippy girl tapped me on the shoulder and said, "They don't get it do they." No, they certainly do not hippy girl, they certainly do not.

I like to refer to this impromptu yodelfest as a "Sting-a-long".

Went to the first of the two Chicago shows. An excellent show, eh yoo eeh yoooooooo's notwithstanding.

I went to the first Chicago show and had a similar crowd experience. After the first two or three songs everyone in my section sat down...that is until the Police played "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." That's when, as if on cue, everyone stood up, did their most hysterically bad awkward-white-guy dance. When the song was over they all sat down again until the encore.

Overall the show was good, but I could have done without the dino animation.

not crap, no waffles. all of their albums are good all the way through.

caught them a bit on that "live earth" thing. andy summers was cracking me up.

Spacebar, j_harvey, and the rest of you at the first Chicago show. How great was it when Sting said' "Yea the last time we played Chicago was in 83 at Comiskey park." Of course everyone booed. Sting had no idea what he had done to elicit that response. It was priceless.

Bed's too big without you is one of my favorite songs. I went nuts when they started playing it and they had a little jam there, not as good as in the past. Sure enough everyone sat down. It was a horrible crowd, horrible crowd.
