Ok, well maybe the Hate Beak is...

what is this hate beak that you speak of?!?!?

is this joint close to the note?

"Hatebeak" is a sandwich at Kuma's, named after this heavy metal band which has a parrot for a lead singer.

The "Hatebeak," according to the Kuma's website, is a chicken sandwich with "spicy Buffalo sauce, Monterrey jack cheese, butter lettuce, tomato and red onion on a pretzel roll with a side of bleu cheese dressing."

Kuma's is maybe a 10-15 minute car ride from the Note.

Or at least give the sound guy a mini disc recorder to jack in.
I would like a good copy of this show.

I can definitely bring my MP3 player and record a board feed, if you want. But 9 times out of 10 that won't get you a good recording, or even a recording you'd wanna listen to, it'll be all drums and vocals.

If I can swing it, I'll try and bring my MP3 recorder and a mic stand and a decent mic. That'll kick the puke out of a board feed.

If I leave right after Slint, maybe I can get there in time to set that up before you're playing, eh?

that looks like a very good gig you got going on there; a shame it's up against slint / youth. incidentally, have push-pull got any records out? i've got some tunes that were posted on here a while back but can't find much else.
that's cool about HR's 300th gig. i'm gonna dig out some old sevens and give 'em a spin.

Yes, we will have our first full length for sale and a split 7" with The Coke Dares. We've got an EP coming out in November on Joyful Noise, and another full length hopefully out next summer. Our full-length and 7" are self released, so if you want to pick one up and can't make it to the show, just send me a PM.
