Anyone Go to That Weedeater Show Tonight?

Weedeater just finished devastating the Empty Bottle. My god, those guys are awesome. I've seen countless shows at the Bottle and Weedeater brought it like no band I've seen before there.

I talked to the drummer, Keko, for a bit. He was as nice as he was large in form. He smashes the drums so hard, I can see why Steve enjoyed recording them.

I don't want to knock the guitar player by saying this, but he's the luckiest guitar player in all of metal with that rhythm section.

Vinyl pressings of "God Luck and Good Speed" come out the end of August, plus their first two albums, "...And Justice for Ya'll," and, "Sixteen Tons," are being re-released later this year on vinyl. It was a little loud when Keko was telling me this, so I didn't catch what label was re-releasing their albums.

Seeing Weedeater this weekend. This will be the third time I've seen them this year and I've lost count of total Weedeater shows. They just keep getting better and better.

They flattened Emo's in Austin at the Emissions fest. Really blew a lot of people's minds who didn't know what to expect.

The Empty Bottle has every Monday free and there's plenty of regulars that show up almost every week. There were a lot of people at the show that were blown away by Weedeater but had not heard of them before. The Bottle is not known for putting on metal shows (though they have been doing more recently), but all were in agreement: Weedeater rules.

How can you not think that when there's four 15" speakers powering the bass player, a Marshall full stack behind the guitarist and the drummer almost literally looks and plays like a gorilla?

Where are they playing? I want to go too. Will Weedeater fans accept me and my sandals?
