My speakers are resting on 3 little soft rubber stick on feet that gives them about 3/4" of space. They were like $2 at the hardware store and If I put my hand on the shelf, I do not feel any vibration from the low end any more. China Cones are the "Monster Cable" version of the same principal.

As far as I know, ceramics are known for their good compression strength, low tensile strenght, and general lack of elasticity. Sure their own resonance may be above the range of human hearing. But I am quite sure that they would pass any other vibrations they encounter unencumbered. Unless they are some magical pitch shifting ceramic that transposes vibrations up a few dozen octaves until you cant hear em. Shoot, can I get guitar speaks made of some of this? But that will pitch shift it up like one octave?
