Im going to see it tomorrow when it comes out. How many people here have seen it yet?

I heard its good, but not great - kinda like the last few seasons of the series itself.

Season 9 is about when Phil Hartman died? That was about when I lost my excitement for the show. I'll still probably end up seeing the movie at some point.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. I have low expectations. I haven't really watched the show regularly for about 10 years, which has less to do with the quality than it does with having moved out of my mom's house and graduating high school and getting involved in music.

This doesn't even compute. At its best, it's easily the greatest American comedy in the last 30 years.

I stopped watching the Simpsons long, long ago and I probably won't see the movie. I never really cared for the show, even when I was a kid.

In conclusion,

Futurama > Simpsons.

Someone i know was lucky enough to see an advance screening. She said it was like a good, long, old episode. I don't know whether or not I should trust her. I've had low expectations since hearing about it. I don't think I've watched regularly since maybe 2001 or 2002, and even then it was pretty bad most of the time. It's become simply a vehicle for guest appearances.

And I Hate everything that has happened with that show in the last three years.

your friend is right- all the proper nods are included in that show, tastefully, in a way that gives thanks to all of the life-ers.

Same writers as the seasons 1-9 not the new crapass " we need to attempt to copy Seth MacFarlane's derivative ideas on what we were in the first place" writers.

Al Brooks! Voice of Scorpio returns as EPA Agent!! so good!

and other great features. really a nice nice respectful movie. didn't even need to be crass ( rated pg-13) to fill in the content time of a movie.

Really, i felt like the writers were saying "thank you" to me.

and the animators in Seoul were saying "what the hell is wrong with your culture?" during production.
