I did NOT get to see Nile.

I did get a consolation prize however...........

anger is a consolation prize?

No...........Autolux!

I was trying to be sort of slick and post this in two places, and also not get one topic mixed up with the other. It fell flat. Sorry.
The cat with the toast, once it's free in the air, will float at its cat-toast equilibrium point, where butter repulsion forces and cat forces are in balance.

I ran a "Pig Destroyer" search and came across this Nile post, so I will resurrect it...

Nile. Yes, I caught them a few weeks ago on an Ozzfest off-date. Probably the loudest show in the history of shows. Fatiguingly loud. The epic death metal thing is pretty cool, but much like present-day Tom Araya, Dallas and Karl look like your neighbors or uncles. Just regular dudes who have to spend their first weekend off tour reseeding the backyard. Karl Sanders is, like, 3 bills and spend every free moment grinning and throwing up his pudgy metal horns, and Dallas Toller-Wade's stage raps were all about how we were all "real fucking underground metal."

The music's still cool.

Seen this band a couple of times, really boring to me. Not a fan of modern death metal really besides Incantation or Immolation. Seems fast drumming really has ruined a lot of metal, and the production techniques are horrid. No surprise how these bands can shit out albums so fast.

Now if that Sadistic Intent full length will ever come out someday....
