Thank you, Kerble, for mentioning "Indians," a song I heard very often during the summer of '87, and which pops into my brain from time to time and stays for long periods. I always kind of liked Anthrax's very Ramones-ish "chumps from Long Island" persona. I once sat behind Scott Ian on a Midwest Express flight from New York to Milwaukee. I thought that was funny.

You know, nobody believed me, but Anthrax's "Safe Home" was one of my favorite songs of 2003. I have no idea what the album it's from sounds like--I'm guessing not so great. But seriously--I love this song. It's crazy FM power pop, like a Foo Fighters song, except I've never heard a Foo Fighters song that's this good, except maybe that "there goes my hero" one. I even love the Loverboy-ass keyboard-sounding bass at the beginning.

I didn't get the "earnest" part, either. They're fans, sure, so it's faithful - but it's pretty goofy, too.

By the way, "Efilnikufesin" seems to be about a specific person but I've not really figured it out. Any theories?

The album is 'We've Come For You All'. For mine it's the best Anthrax album since 'Persistance Of Time'. Not a bad song on it, and the last track is a Ramones cover. How can you go wrong?

I just found a copy of Among the Living on vinyl.....I totally forgot how great they are. I hadn't heard this album for maybe 15 years....yikes! Yes indeed ..."Cry for the Indians!!!!"

Anthrax sucks.

I've tried to get into 'em time and time again and I just can't do it. Seem like dudes I could hang with, but the music is lame. And I love Priest!
