I tested the site using our proxy settings in IE and also in Java plug-in.
Site will not work inside of our firewall. I tried on a DSL machine and
it works fine. Please check to see if the site can be unblocked from our
firewall.

user called for update. tolder her that those that can make the call on this
request and can approve it is on vacation. She wanted the persons name
that will be making this call so that she could e-mail them directly. I
avoided this at the moment. J--- said that M----- is on vacation presently
and he is waiting for a reply.

User was asking for an update. I informed J----- that we have an approval
process and ultimately the IT Committee
[Global, 25 members representing the highest levels of every department of a 3200 employee company], headed by D-- S-------
[dude has probably been in the New York Times a dozen occassions over the last six months for, y'know, critical shit], and
would need to make a decision. I also mentioned that opening up our
firewall could potentially weaken our security systems. We will be in
touch next week.

B---, we don't block webcams, per se. Can you test this and see if it works on
a DSL line? It may be that the webcams just don't work. Let me know
what you find out. Thanks.

The webcams don't work from the minilan, which is wide open. The PC has IE
7 and is wide open. The images say "downloading" then revert to the
red x in the upper left corner. The PC was not prompted for any type of
active x or whatever. But it almost looks like that some software module
is needed in IE.
