Someone gave me a Mac G3. Never used it before.

Any ideas about what I can do with it?

Is it upgradable? or just bin-able?

these guys offer some limited processor and port upgrades. dunno that the cost of upgrading would be worth the limited speed boost though...

Keep it for surfing the net, storing music and photos and porn.

If it's functioning and not taking up too much space in your house, why bin it?

I'm typing this from my 5 and-a-half year old G4 iMac, which I use for the purposes mentioned above.

My real computer (G5) doesn't have much fun stuff going on in there, because I don't want to waste space on it.
