i don't think the goat is crap. especially for the age group that seems to be getting scorned, the nu metal aged kids. i don't like to shave. at all. not even a little. when i was 18, the goat part was the part that grew in all thick-like. the rest didn't grow so thick. so maybe i'd shave the rest every couple weeks or something, but not the goat part. i liked it. screw you. i now sport the "soul patch" for one reason and one reason alone. i fucking HATE having stubble on the bottom of my lower lip. it annoys the hell out of me. so the soul patch stays. the rest gets shaved accoring to occasion. if i were living in a vaccuum, i would probably have a big nasty beard and i would hate how much it itched. but i can't stand the thought of shaving every day. which means that in the non-vaccuum that i live in, i usually have a couple/few-day shadow. i will shave for thanksgiving. i will shave for christmas. depending on the girl, i will shave if my girlfriend requests it. i can grow a nice thick beard if left to my own devices. i've found that i've received many compliments on said beard from male friends (hetero male friends i might add) and in general, i have known very few women who didn't find facial hair repulsive. lastly, i would like to quote my dad, who told me that "only homos have well-groomed beards". for those of you who work with him, you should feel free to, if you ever notice him with a nicely groomed beard, make a comment like "my, what a well-groomed beard you have!"
the fact that the facial hair grows in without my willing it to do so = CRAP
everything about it beyond that, NOT CRAP.
