Yeah, screw them. These escalator standers stand in the way of my own personal progress.

Eh, I'll walk if I can, but I don't really mind being slowed down a little.

I'm one of them you dick, fuck you for even suggesting I move my fat, slovenly ass on the moving staircase. And fuck you for saying that same ass takes up all the room. You can squeeze around if you really want to and have some butter.

Annoying Situation: people who stand on the escalator

You know them, at least you do if you live somewhere that has a fair amount of people and also an escalator or two. I went to get a snack from the lobby, and encountered a few of them. They're the people who just stand on the escalator instead of walking up or down. Often, they stand with friends and take up the whole width of the escalator. Or they're so fucking fat they do it by themselves. And they slow you down, keep you from getting where you're going. I'm perpetually late, so I always et really annoyed at them for making me that little bit later. Sure, I could wake up a little earlier, get off the computer a little sooner, but fuck that. I'm a last minute kind of guy and I won't change for those fat and/or lazy slobs who can't sacrifice a few calories to walk up a goddamn moving staircase. It's not like you have to stand on them, they should be looked at for the most part as a boon that speeds up your commute, and fairly as an opportunity to rest.

In another thread H-GM wrote:I posted a C/NC about a band called Human Hands and it received zero responses. Therefore I mainly like to keep my C/NC's about really silly shit, (please look forward to a C/NC about remaining still on a moving escalator).

weird.

Standing still on a moving escalator is crap. What's more crap is when you have narrow escalators that make it nearly impossible for one to maneuver around the offending party.

crap

Holy fuck people who stand on the moving walkway at the airport and block the entire thing with their enormous ass.
There's a recording overhead saying, 'if you are standing, please stay off to the left'
I bust my way through a big group of Disney-bound lane blocking lard asses and hear 'Hey, buddy! you in some kind of hurry? Jesus Chris what an asshole!'

It took all of my strength not to lunge back at him and rip one of his eyeballs out of his head and show it to everyone.

I stopped and said 'You are supposed to stand to the left, this is an airport some people are in a hurry to get to their jobs or flights'
'Yeah well, they don't have to be so rude all they have to do is ask'
'if you didn't block the whole thing to begin with they wouldn't have to ask you anything would they?'
then he says, and I quote
'Hey, fuck you buddy!' and gives me the finger.

I just love people, you know? Just can't get enough of them.

Every retard who takes Marta in Atlanta just sits there on the escalators. Lazy fat shitheads. I've made it a point to stand at the exact door on the train that will line up with the escalator on my way home. I am the first person off that fucking train and on the escalator. Hate waiting for all those lazy fucks.

In DC there is an ad campaign on the Metro where these people are called 'Escalefters' and 'Escalumps'

104 years ago, I started a thread about a trip to London that I ended up not taking. Champion Rabbit wrote this:

1.There is one thing that is guaranteed to make you enemy of all Londoners, and it is this. On the way down to the platforms of the tube, you'll find 'escalators' to speed your journey. These are like stairs, but they move!! Ha! Imagine that!

There are signs on these escalators which read something along the lines of "STAND TO THE RIGHT". Apparently this is confusing to the average tourist, so I shall translate.

It means that you should "stand" on the "right" so that people who are trying to move more quickly can "walk" on the "left". See?

I promise you that this little secret will save your life.

Note the 'standing' on the 'right' as performed by these people!

Because of this, whenever I am on an escalator and people are crappily loafing up the whole path, a voice goes through my head saying, "Stahnd to the roit."

true story.
