Stupid, as I thought that this film was a great one, and I'm not even sure the name is right.

Edit: Lazy of me - a one minute google search turned up the film I was thinking of - the Taiwanese title is Yi Yi.

Still not sure if I'm in the right precinct with the guess - the child and shot looks familiar to memory.

This is the second picture with Sterling Hayden in that I've posted today. I suspect some hidden man-love for Sterling is at work... I've started to use Flickr to hide the filenames.

It's an asian film, about a little city kid. He's totally spoiled and has a hopelessly short attention span, always playing video games. He goes to the country to spend some time with his grandmother (I think she's his grandmother), who comes from a completely different era/cultural backdrop and has a more stripped down way of life, a bit grueling but also dignified. The film subtly chronicles the kid's ensuing culture shock. I remember it being pretty good, what I caught of it anyway, but I never got the title.
