Also, I'm still interested in this if it's available:

P.J.-

"Hey. I might have a small two bedroom apartment available in Lincoln Square in the next few weeks. I have one person who is kind of interested in it, but he has yet to commit.
Pros: Prettiest block in Lincoln Square. Really. No shit, this street is perfect. 2219 W. Gidings, about a 1/2 block from the Square and Giddings plaza. Easy walk to el and metra.

Awesome greystone building. Looks like the type of building that you'd want to live in. The building has been featured in tv shows it looks so"Chicago".

Easy parking. When I lived there, except days when there was a fest, I never parked more than a 1/2 block away.

On-site washer and dryer. Plenty of storage.

Cons:
Garden Unit (read: Basement). It's one of the better garden units I've ever seen, but if she has built in issues with that, a lot of people do, then this is not the place for her.

$875.

Seriously, short of Boys Town (high rent and no parking) there is no better place in Chicago for a single woman to live. Even if this place is not for her, she should consider the Square."

Is this still available oh landlord who shall not be named (that is, if you don't want to be named)?

Does anybody have any opinions on this street?

Colonel Panic wrote:Actually, I'm pretty sure I've found my new digs. It's a real nice apartment, big and spacious, on a nice, quiet block within walking distance of both Kuma's and Doug's.

The perfect place? I think it just might be.

sweet, right by me man...we can have pajama parties and do each others hair and gossip all night

Marsupialized, is that apartment above you still for rent?

Can you still leave a $100 dollar bill on the hood of a car at Elston and Kedzie?

no some dude, a fat woman and their ugly baby who leave their clothes in the wash machine for days at a time rented it out
and yes it's still nice as can be out this way...we are having some major issues with our plumbing here in the building, so maybe it's a good thing you guys didn't get in on it

I too am considering a Chicago move, for school. Need to be close to the el and have a not-too-long ride to IIT and Depaul. I'll need an apartment for 2 people, low (no?) income, preferably close to awesome things. Going in December to check it out but probably won't move until next spring. I'm accepting advice, criticism, and dick jokes regarding these developing plans.
