68I was going to vote no but honestly I could be talked into it. But my girlfriend and I are firm believers in having kids only if you want a family and can set a good example AND have time to raise the kids
Unlike 99% of parents I see who have kids because thats what everyone else does in their mid to late 20s.
I dont want to be the family that has a 4 year old who spends 10 hours a day in day care, and since we both work 10 hours a day... not like my cat can raise a kid.
Neither one of us is dying to have a family right now, we are more of the career focussed types.
I know a LOT of great parents, but I also see a LOT of parents who both work 8-12 hours / day... i mean whats the point?
Then again my mom worked all day when I was a kid and I didnt mind one bit, but i enjoy alone time, some people like a lot of attention, like my sister wanted/needed more attention. I had school and friends or whatever I didnt crave any more adult supervision
Its confusing I mean what if you have a kid that enjoys being alone and one parent stays home driving the kid crazy? or what if you have a kid who really needs constant attention and both parents need to work?
