I'm having trouble with my RE20. When used on a bass cab it's completely distorted. When I talk into it it seems fine. The problem is somewhat intermittent however. Once I set it up on a bass cab and it seemed fine. Next time distorted. Is this the infamous foam problem?

Call up the folks at EV - they are really helpful.

Never had or heard of this problem. But I don't use my RE-20 often.

they will tell you to send it in

then they will probably tell you the mic element is fucked.

then they will tell you it can be replaced for approx 200 bux.

at least thats what happened to our re20 when it did the same kind of shit
