ah yes, the globocom. the hamburger commercial. "with the price of beef going through the fucking roof, I can hardly afford to feed the fucking kids."
anyone else think Jill Talley was kinda hot in her own way?

Sure, I do. But I think mousey women can be kinda hot, in their own way.

64I watched all four series recently. I defended it for a long time because I am a big fan of the people involved. Now I have some perspective, I have reached the conclusion that although the cast are excellent, only about 1 in 4 sketches is actually funny. I get the impression that when Cross and Odenkirk worked as comedy writers, they usually had editors who would toss the weaker ideas. Mr. Show suffered from having no such process (or at least, the one they used misfired an awful lot). When it came together, the highs were hilariously funny and extraordinarily well crafted. Sometimes a joke would dawn on me a week later and I would start laughing. It's a shame the lows were such drivel.
NOT CRAP, with high waffles. Aside from the above gripes, I have to throw in a waffle for the fact that is essentially an American version of Monty Python.

65I agree- I love 1 out of 4 sketches. Some were brilliant. On a whole I think way better then most american sketch shows.
And Wycked Scptre(sp?) c'mon that made my list of top ten rock comedy sketches of all time!

She had a decent rack and she was so good on that show. Truly chameleonic-I thought some of her characters were a different actress at first. She could look really gross sometimes, but that was based on the character- other times she was a real Milf! I am also a sucker for funny women in general.

67Her characters were extremely well-crafted and well-executed. Not a performance of hers goes by where I am not amazed at how she transforms herself into someone else.
She's married to Tom Kenny, another brilliant star on the show. The only reason I know this is because my old landlords were standup comedians in Chicago, and now live in LA and are still friends with them (Tom and Jill). I guess Tom comes over to their house and does the voices of their kids' favorite shows for them (he does voices for a ton of cartoons). What a cool person for your kids to meet.
Yeah, I suppose that she has a pair of breasts too. What a dynamic perspective you have, boombats.

Hey dicknipple, the topic was "she is hot"-
Paps are a perfectly reasonable factor in hotness assessment. I also greatly admire her versatility and skill, which you aptly described, but I do not wish to suck, lick, and caress her resume.trompuss wrote:anyone else think Jill Talley was kinda hot in her own way?
