And "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" was lifted from a Jorge Ben song. Rod Stewart = still crap

I attempted to DJ these two songs back to back a while ago. As far as I'm concerned, the version of 'Taj Mahal' I played was killer, but next time I'll play Rod first to get the people in the room, then hit them with the original.

Edit: and I was thinking much more of the lyrical subject (which is far, far removed from Jorge Benjor's song) matched to the guitar tone, which strikes me as very close to 'Sexy'; whereas the 'Taj Mahal' rip off was really just about the chorus. When it comes to 'Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?' I'm all about the verses, and it's the same with this Feist song.

crappy article wrote:But for a stellar act like Feist, it's no longer a matter of luck, Lacoste notwithstanding. On Feist's 2004 Let It Die, each phase of marketing evolved as the album reached new audiences. First, the indie crowd was targeted, then the followers, “all the way to the soccer moms,” as an insider at Feist's label Arts & Crafts described it. With the new album The Reminder, “we were able to target a much broader audience from day one.” And, of course, once you've got the soccer moms, you've got the world. (link)

Isn't this the band in the new iPod commercial, with the tiny little video iPod and there's video of a chick singing and dancing and they keep taking away an iPod and there's a new one in its place that's a different color but still has a uselessly small screen for watching video of this chick? Or is that a different chick?

Yes - it's a Feist song being used in the commercial. I can only assume that it is her in the video - never really noticed since - as you pointed out - it's really, really small.
