what's the smallest more impractical car you've ever fitted your bands gear in, i've got an el camino and it's going to be pretty fucking packed

We fit 3 people a drum kit, 2 amps (a twin plus a keyboard amp), an 88 key keyboard, 2 guitar cases and assorted odds and ends (stands, pedal case, hardware cases etc) into a VW station wagon. It's not crazy, but it was cramped.

a drumset, guitar and 2x12 amp, and 3 people into a dodge omni. i promised to quit the band if we didnt get a bigger car.

dianogah was once smuggled into canada from seattle in a two door neon. two basses, snare, bass head, cymbals, hardware, kick pedal... oh yeah: and five people.

Four-piece drum kit, 1x12 guitar amp, 1x15 bass amp, two guitars, two basses, three people, luggage, etc. in a Ford Focus ZX3. Tight, but tolerable for a few hours at a time. Those cars have a lot of room.

try fitting a 5pc kit in this....

i used to have a ford escort. we had two possibilities: either - five people (four in band plus my girlfriend!) along with guitar, keyboard, bass, snare, cymbals, guitar amp, cables etc. OR: two people (usually me and alice our drummer (girlfriend got left at home)) and all the above equipment plus drum kit.

Five people, several guitars and basses, snare drum, cymbals, two amp heads, and more musical equipment, though I can't remember what; along with enough luggage to last for several weeks - all in a '67 Valiant with a roof-rack, from Butte, Montana to Chicago in 21 hours.

maybe yours is smaller, but this car is already plenty small.

are those smartcars safe? that would be my guess at what keeps them from being popular in america: the fact that they look silly, and will be perceived as totally unsafe. i seem to recall that science tells us it's wrong, but there's a deep-rooted beleif here in america that being surrounded by a lot of steel will protect you in an accident. that car just screams "get hit and you'll die".
