oh, good, because according to your "inside scoop" last week or so, it was starting to look like you don't know what the fuck it is you're talking about.

just a bit back, caix wrote:About this whole thing, you guys remember Deerhunter? I have newfound respect for them (I've always liked them). Their big shot booking agent is pissed at them. They were offered to tour with NiN. You knwo what they said? "No way." They were offered to tour with Smashing Pumpkins. You know what they said? "We're not going to jump on that sinking ship." Just recently, they were offered to do a national tour with Interpol. You know what they said? "No thanks." Interpol asked them why they did not want to tour with them. Deerhunter's response? "We don't like you."

but they were supposed to play this bottle show with them?

they were ok.

however, the purpose of this story is to point out that the Prodigal Son had an amazing assortment of Grilled Cheese sandwiches, and i miss it very much.

goddammit. i miss that place so much. cheap beer. pinball. space invaders. grilled cheese. man oh man oh man. that was one of the first places that i discovered when i first moved up here and i was spending all my free time walking around and exploring the city.

I pulled a PA speaker down on my head there... good times...

I knew you'd bring this up. But you're not paying attention, which is so unlike you. The Bottle show is with Interpol AND Liars. I know Bradford is a huge Liars fan. Not a big Interpol fan. The three bands would have played together as one band. How you guys don't understand this is beyond me.

So, ask yourself this: what would you do if you were asked to play with two bands, one you loved and one you didn't? Would you just say no in spite of the band you didn't like? Or would you involve yourself because of the band you did?

I don't to see the hypocrisy here. It's more like a paradox.

I have highlighted the word "with" in my initial post to show you that maybe you don't get the subtleties and nuances of the english language. I know what the deal is with the show.

so ask yourself this, If you were slinterpol, and you asked some band to tour with you and they said no, because they "didn't like" you, would you invite them to play music with you on stage?

no. no, you would not.

I don't to see the hypocrisy here. It's more like a paradox.

I see it's more like you just not knowing what the fuck it is you're talking about.
