This includes those of you who let me crash on your floors, bought me drinks, made me laugh 'til it hurt, gave me records, gave me rock, took me to casinos, teased me about wanting to eat Scotch Eggs (which I never got to try, dammit) and basically made me feel welcome in your very cloudy country.

No love to the person who peed on the seat I had the misfortune to sit in on Wednesday night. That guy can fuck right off.

Jodi, your comment to me about being 'very tall' was both well observed and factually correct - salut!

By "it", I meant the substance of your work (photography).

Like the 'Sun Wah Barbecue'...I like photographers who use natural light, and that looks like a difficult shot...

I like available light. It's not too difficult; mainly a matter of finding the right subjects and locations at the right time. And it helps to know how to get a good exposure, choose the best focal length, etc. But it's not hard.

Aside: the International District here is picturesque, in a 'darker' sense (i.e. dirty). There is a 'pet store'...off the beaten track...that qualifies as a modern horror movie scene. The 'pets' are obviously food. If I was more politically competent in my dealings with others, I'd blow a few rolls there, for sure...

Where in the PNW are you?
later: Holy Crap. The Monks are still performing (in some sense, at least)????

Yes, but not often. That shot was with Gary Burger and The Goblins as backup band--no other original Monks present. But The Goblins nailed the sound.
