Waitaminnit! Pecard? As in the Pecard who was in Foxy in Green Bay and I Love Rich when he moved to Chicago? Woah, my universe is shrinking. Again.

Actually, that's your more "baroque" Claytron. Note the hollow grandiloquence and the indignant desperation. "Classic" Claytron had more of a shrieking-child-mid-conniption-fit quality to his posts, whereas later Claytron might be thought of as the same child post-tantrum, exhausted and pissing himself as an ultimate petty act of provocation.

Well yeah, he was a complete dick. Then again, if I pointed out every time something on this forum upset my delicate sensibilities, this whole place would be a mass tommydski offendathon.

Hank Chinaski is an offensive character also but I've still read Post Office about twenty times over the years. If you think of these internet persona as exercises in fiction, they can be reasonably entertaining. Walter Malling for example.

True, but for every Walter, there seems to be a whole mess of unter-Walters (should that be unter-Walthers?) who were nowhere near as much fun.

In the same way that Waterstones is crammed with glossy new "exercises in fiction", but most of 'em ain't worth even the meanest slice of your time. All you wannabe-Walters out there, you have your work cut out - why not consider another outlet for your energies?

Yut and Wernheim Zackariah were pretty fucking hilarious if you understood that they were joke accounts. He really got into those characters. Of all the internet persona on this forum, his was at least a reasonably convincing one because I have met people with similar traits.

Salut, crazy bastard behind Yut account!

I have now read all of this thread (make a guitar out of that, asshole), and am convinced that this whole forum is written by 1 or 2 bored teenagers who probably don't even live in Chicago.
