Folks,
I have to move a 2" machine (MCI JH-24) from CT to Nova Scotia. Can anyone with experience recommend the best way to do this?
I see my options as:
1) Hiring moving professionals. I'm a little worried it might get roughed up in the process.
2) Rent a van and move it myself. I'd still need pros to help with the loading and unloading. This sucker weighs over 500 lbs.
Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you!
- J.

2Wrap it and crate it yourself, then have a shipping company take it from you. It'll take you a day to do it properly, but you'll be glad you did.
Do not try to move it "naked" unless you're going to drive it there in a van yourself.

3I moved an MCI JH24 from the US to Sweden.
The shipping company took care of the crating, and did a great job. I think the crating cost something around $150.
They put the remote in the same crate as the machine, and bubbled-wrapped everything real nice.
So if you can find a shipping company that can also do crating, I think that's the best way, since it's not alot of money.
