Asbury Lanes (NJ), Tues. Oct 30, Hunchback is playing with Agent Orange.

The Asbury Lanes is a derelict bowling alley from the 60's where some punk kids convinced the owner to build a stage over the center 4 lanes. Yes, you bowl while the bands play.

I love the Asbury Lanes, I get to make my second and third trip there this coming month. Actually, the November 28th one is some birthday party thing for Hunchback.

Yo! that show at the clash bar was a good one.

With the you guys, the Screaming Females, and the Ergs, Jay's birthday at the Lanes looks like it's gonna be a ripper. Long live the Lanes!

I'm taking part in a cover band costume party tonight. 16 bands $1.00 cover. This was mad fun last year. It even spawned a copycat party this year. Check it out!

p, i road by on my bike last night around 11:30, there were people pouring out the front of the place! how did the show go?

It was insane. I think they drew 583 people (who all know the words to "takin' a ride", apparently). The second we started a chick started throwing beer at us. I spit in her face 3 times between lyrics. Herself and her boyfriend APPLAUDED. I knew we really hit our stride when "chris hilman" and "gram parsons" crowd surfed past us. I (as paul westerberg) got to tell kurt cobain to his face that I'm sick of him ripping me off. He told me, "I'm dead, quit breaking my balls." Who ever was responsible for the Flying Burrito Brothers Nudie suits deserves a medal. Excellent all around. I'm thinking SLF next year.
