I've heard some nice samples video and audio of this amp. Seriously considering getting one but I'm a little wary of it's Korean production.
Anybody had any first hand experience?
Anybody seen more than two that differed in quality? Any reports of inconsistency?

4Had one for two months, then it just went dead during a recording. Wasn't a fuse so, the store gave me another one instead. I've recently traded up for a Mesa combo.
I was initially impressed with it's sound (at the store, paired with an SG Standard) but then I started to notice a really cheap fizzy sound in the high end (when overdriven) and I couldn't dial it out. I'm pretty sure that the bigger British-made Oranges don't have that problem. Oh yeah, it doesn't do clean all that well.

5The problem with Made in Korea is what M.Koren said. Production quality is going to be fickle. People are going to get ones that just shit the bed after a bit for no reason. Only plus is that it shouldnt be too hard to just get a new one, even though it's annoying.
Orange has had problems with quality control in general. My friend had to get a third AD200B before it worked consistently. I've heard some similar stories.
As a general rule good quality and consistently working musical equiptment is not made in Korea or China. Japan, USA, and UK are generally far more reliable.

6If the design is british and only the parts and buildings are korean, it's possible to replace all the parts with quality ones and then it might solve it. no? That is if the design is actually a good one.

7The one at EA sounds great. Any mods done to that one?
What if you went into GuitarSuperStore- Demanded to play like 10 of them. Picked the best one. Went home and opened it up and did your own QC job checking solder ponts and maybe even retubed it. That's what I would do if I had the time/money and was going to buy one of these.

I'm sure doing the above would help but, I don't think that these were the reasons mine went tits-up after a short, easy life.
And this isn't too encouraging either...

9And when you buy something new you don't really want to have to go in and do mods and change out parts. This is something I dont mind having to do when I get a vintage piece of gear, but if it's brand new it'd be nice for the model to work consitently throught it's production line.

Especially when there is an incredible number of different amps available these days.
