It's fun to watch this all play out, because every time the controlled media tries to use the 9/11 truth angle or the banking scam angle against Ron Paul, they cast more light on their own failures to cover these stories. If you go on Stormfront, there is a rather huge Ron Paul thread. I can't say I've read much of it, as it gets very tedious reading anything on that forum, as it seems most people there can't seem to tether their hate.

It does seem like a significant proportion of people posting on it (the thread on Stormfront) feel he's their man. I do agree though, that, in all likelihood, a fair amount of the posters on that thread, and that forum in general, are probably agents provocateurs, as are probably quite a few people on those type of forums in general.

Seriously though, I suspect the reason there are far more views on the Ron Paul thread (I assume you mean the threads on this forum) is that the level of controversy and acrimony is far higher on this thread than on any others.

Also, are there guests other than the normal posters on EA coming here and viewing the thread? That could definitely account for some of it also. If Ron Paul supporters come here to read this thread, that would bump it up.

Anyways, who cares how many views there are? Am I, or anyone else who doesn't plan on voting for him, supposed to change our minds based on the number of views of a thread on an internet forum? Jump on the bandwagon while the jumping is good?

I was going to mention the Tulip Mania in the 17th century Netherlands, but that looks more like a case of rampant speculation gone awry rather than an actual commodity-money collapse.

Some of the reasoning posted by Rick in this thread is so fundamentally illogical that I suspect that a .txt file of all his posts is what Will Smith uploaded to the alien mothership in Independence Day, causing it to explode in a shower of "does not compute".

Maybe this is the Al Qaeda cyber attack. If anyone's AIBO or Furby reads this thread, it'll shit itself for months afterwards.

Maybe one of the Ron Paul supporters here can help me with a question I have: supposing there was a return to the gold standard and the value of the dollar begins to recover from inflation (meaning that as time went on the value of the dollar would be increasingly higher than current value), how does this affect the few trillions of dollars of consumer debt amassed in this country? Would that mean that these debts incurred when the dollar was worth a certain amount must be repaid when the dollar is worth significantly more?
