Song: On The Darkside

I actually know this, how they came up with the name. I remember hearing this on a Top 40 countdown when I was a kid. I don't know why I remember it.

The band was rehearsing in a garage and they hadn't come up with a name yet. They started looking around at things in the garage for inspiration. There was a can of paint in the garage and the color was called "Beaver Brown."

This was the band in the film Eddie and The Cruisers, I believe.

Just the music. I think the band were all actors.

I never saw the movie. Was it as crappy as this song?

Try listening to it before you get high and see if you can still vote "not crap."

Total crap, slight waffle for showing just how histrionic, derivative, and readily imitated Springsteen's music is.

The poor man's lo-fat Meat Loaf. Only not as funny.

STF, both you and I know this is NOT the case.

I've also been in a relationship where the alcohol proved to be a portal to another strange and wicked world.

Talking about the dark side only reveals to both parties that "the darkside" indeed exists. Those who visit this darkside hate to be reminded of it. (It's like pointing out the existence of their hidden, conjoined twin. Sure it might sleep for a while but that thing's gotta get fed sometime.)

One thing I've learned, however, is if there is ever so much as a toenail dipping into this darkside, I run. Fast as I can.

And fuck the Beaver Brown band. There song was popular when my brain must've been really impressionable. I can sing the sax-solo note for note. Note for note!

Crap.
