Unfortunately in our society we have to deal with mindless religious fanaticism. That's more than enough.

Having said that, what's going on in our society is not a Judeo-Christian vs. Islamic conflict.
The real conflit is between Scientific Enlightenment vs. Religious Thinking.

We all know that if Iran nukes Israel, the nuclear fallout will stop at the european border and turn around.. maybe poison turkey or egypt, but not us good neutral european fellas.

Whose destruction is mutually assured? No one else has any nukes or any kind of military presence near what Israel has (never mind that Israel went about getting nukes in much the same way that Iran is, just with better, more powerful friends). Under the current circumstances it sounds like dominance rather than some kind of balancing act.

Meanwhile, suicide bombers are wholly different than using the nuke as a nation. If the concern is allowing a suitcase bomb to be manufactured, there is little in the way of evidence that suggests that any of Israel's enemies have a sliver of the technology to produce something of the sort. That is alarmist rot.

I have no doubt that Iran wants the nuke. I have serious doubts that they would use it preemptively or aggressively. They have exactly zero history of using a comparable weapon in such a way. In fact, only the US does and only a handful of countries, one being Israel, has been as clandestine about getting the nuke.

I understand Israel's concern, which isn't the same thing as saying I agree. I don't see this as a tier one concern. Then again, I tend to find the bluster of the Iranian leadership to be much worse than its bite. If you really think that using the nuke is the same thing as supporting destabilizing suicide bombers, then I just don't know what.

Anyway, trying to get us to believe that Iran is going to attack Europe is preposterous. Rank stirring of the pot for obvious propagandistic reasons.
