Legendary perverse punk band the Mentally Ill are playing in Chicago next Saturday, and need a sound man comfortable with their thing.

This is a one-off and obviously the pay will be meager, but I can vouch for the band as swell fellows. Please PM me if you are interested.

Saturday the 24th, at The Beat Kitchen. They are playing after the premier of You Werent' There - A History of Chicago Punk 1977-1984 at the Portage Theater. Also playing are Negative Element and End Result. I think that this is the first Mentally Ill show EVER, they apparently never played out...

Mentally Ill still need a competent sound man for the show in question. I volunteered my services but later found I was already scheduled to work sound at Empty Bottle that night and I cannot get out of that shift. Dumb ass me went and double booked myself. Anyone out there available to work for this band?

I just got the cd that was released on AT in the mail yesterday. Won it on ebay.

This may be the best early Chicago area punk rock group, especially ones that never played live.
