No idea whether or not I'm supposed to.

It's weird...I love the Liars, and assumed that they were pretty unpopular...but, lo and behold, they're all over the place up here in Seattle. I hear them at coffee shops, record stores, etc.

Sometimes hipsterism has its benefits.

Wow, if I'd known you'd missed so much, I'd be sending music to you, Tommy.

I missed a lot too, but this year I've enjoyed...

65daysofstatic-Destruction of Small Ideas
Dirty Projectors-Rise Above
Holly Golightly and the Brokeoffs-You Can't Buy a Gun When You're Crying
Antelope-Reflector
Call Me Lightning-Soft Skeleton
Secret Mommy-Plays

I guess that's about it as far as albums that haven't been mentioned yet go, and I'd probably maybe only recommend perhaps the first three.

Just to make sure: You have heard Laddio Bolocko, right? If not, I'm sending you a disc...

O man, Goat Lips changed my life. In fact I think the reason I've enjoyed the Gamelan Record is because it sounds more like Laddio Bolocko than the Origins and Primitives record. But all I own by Laddio is the Strange Warmings/In Real Time double disc. I think there's an OOP Ep floating around out there, "As if By Remote"? On a label called "Hungarian records"?

Yeah, you got it all. Honestly, I see The Psychic Paramount as being largely Laddio Bolocko without Blake on drums...

It's a genuine shame that those fellows melted down. They kind of revived my interest in rock at a time when I had all but given up on the scheme...but it has to be rough living and playing together for that long.
