That's what I am guessing.
We'll see.

1183Southgate v McClaren - neither really sets the pulse a-quiver. Boro ain't exactly aiming high, if this is the case.

Bollocks to that... Davies should manage England, Mourinho should take the Scotland job.
As far as McLeish goes, I'm disappointed but not surprised. God forbid anyone associated with professional football should display a milligram of integrity....

1187I'm not too devastated over McLeish. He and the squad did much better than expected, with very few lapses, and came a James McFadden sitter away from qualifying in a group with the top two teams in the world. Had they qualified and he then jumped ship before the finals for cash and prizes in the Premiership, then I would have a problem with it. I was miles more aggrieved with Smith last year.

Me too.
Last night, however, I felt sorry for Rangers for the first time in almost 10 years.
Funny old game.
Liverpool better win tonight.

I was pretty pissed off after the game last night. Even though Rangers were taking a bit of a pounding I never really felt that worried. The midfield became a bit disfunctional when McCulloch went off but at 2-2 I'm sure they could have done more to stop opposition chances. Why HUtton didn't attack the German's left back after the early booking I don't know, Rangers seemed to play down the left too much.
Of course that's the stage set for another do or die game to qualify out of the group and Lyon are no mugs.

Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas faces up to two weeks on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury.
Fabregas limped off during Arsenal's 3-1 Champions League defeat to Sevilla on Tuesday night, with reports suggesting the young Spaniard will be out for at least 10 days.
Sidelined: Cesc Fabregas has flourished under Arsene Wenger
Should this be the case he will miss Arsenal's trip to Aston Villa on Saturday, the match against Newcastle four days later and possibly their third Premier League away match in a row at Middlesbrough on Sunday week.
Fabregas said: "I felt my hamstring in the first half. I kept going but I felt it again in the second half.
"It's the first time in my life I have felt this and I didn't want to take a risk."
Fabregas has been a revelation for Arsenal this season, cementing his position as one of the best midfielders in the world with a string of combative, influential displays.
This news is a terrific blow not only for Gunners manager Arsene Wenger but also for title-chasing Fantasy Football manager Tommy Dski, who was looking forward to the return of his Captain this coming week, which sees Arsenal play twice away from home.
"Pissflaps," swore Mr. Dski in a mid-afternoon press conference. "Fuckbags. A shitting, rotting pile of putrid crap."
He then dispersed the assembled reporters by repeatedly firing a handgun at the ceiling.
