That's what I've always loved about them, if you took their songs and changed the guitar into heavy chords it's straight Sabbath, her melodies, everything
Remember on the Osbournes where Ozzy said he liked Portishead a lot and everyone was giving him shit for it? He sees it too

No, I never did see the Osbournes too often...people gave Ozzy shit for liking Portishead? let the man like what he likes!

At first I thought the analogy to Sabbath was bull, but now I really am kind of seeing it...especially with "Wandering Star," that song with that evil organ-bass track could definitely be turned into a Sabbathy kind of song...

I really think their guitarwork is very underrated as well, people think it's all samples but it's a real band they just sample themselves playing a lot of the time.
