Wiki Braindead aka Dead Alive page wrote:The first scene of the movie sets up the danger of the Sumatran Rat-Monkey, a hybrid that (according to legend) resulted from the rape of tree monkeys by plague rats: Stewart (Bill Ralston), an explorer returning from the depths of the island with a rat-monkey in a cage, is stopped by his native guides. Seeing the mark of the monkey's bite on his right hand, they immediately hold down the infected explorer and amputate the appendage. A bite mark is then seen on his left arm, which swiftly results in the removal of that limb. Finally, they see a set of bloody scratches on the Stewart's forehead and kill him. The title screen follows the man's dying scream, and as the opening credits roll the captured rat-monkey is shipped to Wellington Zoo in New Zealand.

Shock and horror was to come. Leave that thing where it lives! Don't touch it! Don't film it! Run away from it

doude. you brits are so behind the times. those things have been well-known for at least like 20 years, first in Japan and then later all across the world. a Google search didn't turn up any good video, but here's a still image to tide you over...

and a breif description from that website that had the pic(www.lanceandeskimo.com)...

"Pols Voice? Pols. Voice. Okay. Is there an apostrophe missing? Is it supposed to be Pol's Voice? If so, who is Pol and how are these things his voice? I can't figure it out. They look like a genetic experiment gone terribly wrong. They're what happens if you breed a mouse's head with a kangaroo."

if you come across one, don't worry, just shoot it with the bow and arrow. works like a champ.
