I seem to remember Hand Held Moon (nice people, but wishy washy pop crap musically) opening for Railroad Jerk, and everyone leaving after the local band, leaving me and I think one other person to enjoy the rest of the show, and the resultant temper flare-up during the show.

Must have been post me.

It was in a hockey arena that seated about 3,000 people. I would guess 150 people showed up, tops.

This bill strikes me as being truly, truly odd.

All of these bills are odd, but this one really confused me.

my first band, spoon (terrible, terrible college band with dinosaur jr vs. rush vs. naked raygun vs. bob dylan influences confusion) opened for unsane, right after their bassist died ca. 1992.

Charlie was the drummer, and he gets way too little credit for being the great drummer he was.

re the pullover cardigans bill, my friend Joe was in that band I think (he played bass, was the girl singer ray davies' daughter or do i have the name wrong?) Anyway, small world.. Best billing ever.. my friends were in a major label rock band called A, they played with two grunge lite bands who both became quite succesful at a place in king's cross

the bill,

A, Moist, Bush

hat's off.. In terms of odd billing though, how about oxbow w. support from Jay Anderson. That was an odd evening my band and my friends band also opened.. we did not bring the aggressive noise rock required.
