Shellac chopped & screwed...?

Yes, I would. The cup-stacking is part of it though. Why exclude the part about it being difficult/tricky if it adds to your enjoyment of the experience? All music is cup-stacking to varying degrees. Does a musician's talent or skill level somehow take away from their music? When people come to SEE you play, I imagine that they must close their eyes as not to be distracted by your guitar playing/cup-stackery.

Everything is an instrument, including the turntables.

Kerble was wrong.

This certainly changes things.

I totally agree with you regarding the Vai and Satriani comparison.

Sure, these clowns can do all sorts of Amazing Tricks that I guess some people get a boner over, but I find it to be silly and boring.

There are definitely some recordings with DJs that I find to be musical and that I like to listen to. I really like Dimitri from Paris, for example.

Yeah, well so's your --

Oh, wait. OK.

So, yeah; I'm not up on Dmitri (know the name, nothing more); I associate him with club/dance end of the spectrum, though...?

Dr. Venkman also covered a point I was going to make; I mean, let's take drumming. Or bass playing -- since, as a recovering bassist myself I can take the hit. It's all just simple dexterity-related motions. Some instruments require more cup-stackery than others. Geddy Lee? Apparently awesome at stacking those cups. Phil Rudd? Also good -- less sophisticated, but got the job done to spec.

Anyhow. Just joining in all the agreement. Much more pleasant this way.
