Not a lemon as far as I know. Not sure why he got rid of it, but my guess would be that after he got his first TB Reissue Bass he probably didn't want/need the TB2000 anymore.

I forget how many of the reissue TB basses he has now (two or three) and I know he played one in the last couple bands he's been in. Talk about valuable, they made something like 5 or 6 of the reissue basses. 30 years from now, those things should be worth what, 8 million space dollars each? Don't be sad! The sound of the reissue is nothing to sneeze at, and the construction is supposedly simultaneously shoddy (in the electronics) and other-worldly (the aluminum). I'm not sure why anybody would prefer the TB2000 to the reissue, other than the TB2000 being much more readily available and cheaper.
