Oh, wait, they have ping pong at EA? Seriously? Who's good, and how good? Are we talking 10-feet-off-the-table-smash-returns, power English shots, full-body-sweating ping pong? Should I bring my Stiga Tube Carbo paddle? Seriously, though, that might be the clincher to motivate my band to do a midwest tour / EA recording session. Ping pong? Really?
If it wasn't for landlords, there would have been no Karl Marx.

i'm thinking that you won't have to go real far for that "old time sound", ya know what i'm saying? i think an sm57 on my yamaha acoustic will sound just perfect. they had that mic in the 60's, right? or maybe we should use a more vintage sm57. did they make those?

Don't make fun of 57's on Acoustics man.

I just got a great acoustic guitar tone using a Beta SM57. Even though the mic was borderline crappy everything else around it was awesome. An early 60's Gibson J-160E (properly hydrated and newly strung) an Altec 1567a tube mic mixer into an 1176 (all buttons in). I pushed the Altec kinda hard and used the built in EQ to cut some low and add some hi's and bingo a beautiful and interesting acoustic guitar tone. Not for everyone but great for some things.
