Still cleaning and almost finished, but damn is this place spotless.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I'm unable to start the day without a proper shower.

I bought two dresses for one dollar each about a week ago (score!) but needed to get them dry cleaned. I have neve taken anything to the dry cleaners before, and decided to take two other items (a turtleneck and another dress) as well.

I went to pick the up today and it was FUCKING $37 FOR FOUR ITEMS!!! Is this normal?

I'm boycotting the dry cleaners! I'll wear my clothes dirty, thank you!

Vehicular Update . . .

After handing in my assignment, I drove to town, reversed into a parking space and heard a scrap/clunk. I drove forward a little, got out to peek. The end pipe bit of the exhaust was hanging by a thread of tinsel. An old man who owns the art shop that the incident occured outside recommended a garage. I drove r.e.al. s.l.o.w. avoiding speed bumps. The guy at the garage welded it back on and didn't charge me a penny! Some of my faith in humanity has been restored. I say some because he pestered me to go for a drink with him. I refused several times, the last time as I was driving off the ramp. Still, nice!

Also, my mum bought me an AWESOME animal print coat for xmas. And I bought her some real nice perfume in an atomizer. She doesn't know that yet. I can't wait for her to see it.

I am looking forward to going to Nottingham tomorrow to see Hunny and DRC at the Xmas covers party and for a spot of festive dinner the next day. Did I mention that Joe Mask will be there? Joe Mask will be there!!!

i've never tried dryel but i've heard it works. how often are you gonna wear these dresses? are you stinky? you shouldn't have to dry clean them too often.

Yeah, I figure that I probably just won't clean them very often- I am not stinky.

It just ruins the joy of getting something awesome for only a dollar, if keeping it clean costs $9-$10.

Today has been a good/hectic day. Visited my 90 year old great aunt, was told by my ex that she didn't want to see me while she's in town over the holidays for fear of pain(internal, not external), had a bad lunch with good friends, and I picked up a whole truckload of P.A. gear for a show I'm putting on for about 350 friends on boxing day. I'm really pumped about this show. Oh, and I was invited to my favourite pub tonight for a customer appreciation night which includes free beer and appies, but also includes an aural assault by a has-never-was canadian mtvpunk band.

For every up there's a down. Just need to enjoy the ride I guess.
