Well, I am a big Paul supporter but I think he danced around making a more important point, probably so he wouldn't have to be seen agreeing with a racist. Paul's politics are about protecting the individual. Making judgment calls of this sort would undermine that principle. It would be crass pandering of the worst sort...say like not taking special interest money to get the left's vote but promoting a version of government that can only benefit private special interests. Why does the left want to elect Obama if he wants to give your money to private corporations (see his healthcare and energy plans, among other things)?

The PBS special was actually quite fair, compared to most media coverage.

You gotta love these people though, still looking in the rearview mirror thinking they have a fucking clue about anything anymore, parroting the "there's no chance he can win" meme.

This is a different world now, the change is exponential. For example, during the last election YouTube didn't even exist. It was founded in Feb 2005, exploded in popularity and in June 2006 alone, 2.5 billion videos were watched! Now in this election they are hosting debates in conjunction with the dying old line media!

Also keep in mind, at this time during the previous election cycle John Kerry was polling around 4% nationally, and that didn't stop him from getting 50% of the vote, when most of the "Web 2.0" sites were mere concepts.

Who's number one on YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, Meetup and at the same time breaking fund raising records on a completely independent grass roots level? Thats right, Ron Paul baby. The political establishment is shitting their pants, and they have good reason to!
