I take more issue with the strummy-strum rhythms these jerks play. You know the ones.....the college-acoustic-guitar-guy, heavily influenced by Dave Matthews. That rhythm. On every "song". Yuck city.

nothing wrong with any of the chords, but there's definitely a few things wrong with a few of the folks playing the chords.

If those chords don't speak to you - it's because you're just not connected enough to your emotions (like your girlfriend has been telling you all along), or you might just need to use a capo.

I've recently gotten back into acoustic playing, just because it makes playing that much more accessible.

Sure, Dave Matthews, Darius Rucker and likeminded fucknuts have polluted the acoustic guitar, giving it a frat boy at a barbeque stigma- like the dickhead who plays Blister in the Sun at some other dickhead's backyard soiree- but I also think that maybe the test of a song is if it's still solid without all the volume and feedback and noise.

Maybe not the test, and I do like feedback and noise, but a test as far as expanding songwriting ability is concerned.
