Musicians/bands who have recently lost a fight

First allow me to preface this by saying what I tell my amateur boxers. I firmly believe that violence is NEVER the answer, but if you can't avoid it, win and win DECISIVELY!!!

With that being said, I am offering boxing training and/or personal training to a band/musician who need(s) my expertise in exchange for any of the following:

1.) An Epi/Gibson Les Paul in heritage cherry/flame burst (prefer standard plain top, but would consider an LP-100 at worst - No SG's please)
2.) A line 6 Spider III - 75w amp
3.) A decent acoustic or acoustic/electric guitar (classic style - you know...body looks like a figure 8, full uppper and lower bout and narrow waist)
4.) A starter drum set (5-piece, preferably a name brand)
5.) Bass guitar (5 string, but I'm flexible for now)
6.) Bass amp (no preference)
7.) Cash

My rates are $60/sesssion for on-site/in-home personal training/boxing lessons. Session lengths are 1 hour for boxing, and anywhere between 1-2 hours for personal training. I'll do private lessons or group (band). Most gyms charge $60/hr for "semi-private" boxing lessons, so $60 an hour is a steal if you're interested.

My qualifications - I'm a: NASM certified personal trainer with an MS in exercise science, a USA boxing coach, former competitive bodybuilder, former USA Cycling coach and a trained massage therapist (if that's of interest as well).

If we can work something out, drop me a line.

Peace!
Rick

I used to play largely black metal. 24. I stopped doing drugs, but right now for some reason I feel like I want to try heroin. I've never done it you might not believe. If you could get it, I would come out there and bring my shitty guitar and see if we make something that works. I don't smoke pot even or even put anything up my nose. At least I haven't for many many months. But right now I would do heroin. It's either that I think or hang myself. I believe in analog equipment and analog recording.

If anyone in Chicago knows this Drew, I think you should go round a give him a hug sometime.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Ah shit, I didn't actually read the penultimate sentence, just the bits in bold.... hmmm, the bit about hanging himself is not so funny after all.

"Little Piggy" Recording Studios UPDATE!
Reply to: comm-542717842@craigslist.org
Date: 2008-01-17, 7:03PM CST

We here at "Little Piggy" Recording and Mastering are very pleased with the responses coming in from the Craigslist community! Currently we are booked through next week and will then begin re-designing our studio and business plan.

Good news for future sessions: day rates are now set back to $350 per day, which is almost half of the original $700 price rate!

Special thanks to those who responded, called and even almost came out to tour the room. A few critical e-mails were very helpful in fine tuning our little venture to hopefully provide the best recording experience for the money. We know that when it comes to your recording needs, you have a choice to make; and we hope you take the time to consider us!

Also, some changes and upgrades have been made! Due to the success of our recent sessions we have made the following adjustments:

*New CAD Pop Filter 6" with Gooseneck NEW EPF15A
*New Vocal pre-amp (currently bidding on Ebay)
*New bass strings
*Tape heads cleaned (thanks Eddie!) and new power supply.
*Overhead mike is now mounted on ceiling for additional "room" sounds.
*A very generous client has allowed us to borrow his Fender Super Reverb amp, which is available to all new clients as long as it's here!

Notes: for those who have asked -- the software we use here is called Bias Peak Pro 5. This is a very important "pro" level program that burns CDs better than your average PC.

Media: If anyone knows how we can get some local attention in the Nashville Scene or any trade magazines, please drop us a line. We understand that "Little Piggy" is a small studio compared to the "big guys" but we are still interested in getting some exposure. Please E-mail us with any links or contact information to do some interviews and reviews.

Our specialty is Country / Pop / Jazz / Blues / Bluegrass / Songwriter / Jingles / Voice-over / Soundtracks / Alternative. It also needs to be mentioned that we will turn down ALL Rap or "hip-hop" projects (my wife lives here) with no exceptions.

If you are professional and dedicated, for real, or just a novice but are ready for your chance to finally make a true CD, then come check us out. We are honest hard-working engineers and musicians with an ear for quality and an intimate understanding of what you want. If you need extra musicians for your project, just ask! Besides being an experienced Producer and Engineer, Mike also plays the guitar and the bass with over 20 years of experience (each)!

Thanks everybody! Hope to "hear" form you soon, Keep On!
