No need to apologise. In order to assuage my feelings I might actually have to put on my trainers and hit the road.

I miss running. The only running I seem to do these days is away from responsibility.

Very true - while looking for a pic of Lumberg I was actually surprised to see how tall Gary Cole is - but stature aside, Lumberg's insidious manner and aura of "boss-ness" seem like a good fit for the "new short boss"

Since you're all dying to know:

Dentist appointment went OK. One cavity, which he filled. I honestly don't know why, after 34 years on earth without a cavity, last year I started developing them all over. Theories abound, but the one I like the best is that my body chemistry has changed and turned my saliva acidic.

I like the the idea of acid saliva.

I was supposed to go to work at the archive today but my boss called and said since I looked so terrible yesterday, and that I was spending the AM in the chair, that I should just go home.

Too bad she didn't tell me that BEFORE I packed my laptop and hauled it all the way to the dentist's office.

I plan on taking a nap, since I got all of 30 minutes of sleep last night.
