Totally Not Crap. I was visiting the UK and stumbled on the episode in America ($1000 car). Haven't laughed that hard in a long time or since. I was crying my eyes out. All politics aside, that shit was funny as hell.

I was surprised that they were surprised that their stunt with painting the cars with slogans that would get them injured almost got them injured.

NC, waffles for the fact that it isn't really about cars any more.

Additionally.. I'd like to point out that Top Gear still completely annihilates anything resembling a 'car show' in America. Love love love me some Top Gear. And I think we all knew it was going to change after Hammond's crash.

Automatic NC for the Veyron vs plane across Europe episode.

Yes. I fucking shudder to think about an American spin-off of this. It would be a completely humorless "Cribs"/Robb Report medley hosted be Robin Leach and Danica Patrick.

Show is great. Funny, and they don't talk to the viewer as if we're Regis-watching USA Today reading sub-literate fools.

Alabama episode--fuck. BadComrade sent it to me and I almost peed my skirt.

CRAP

This story, however, is Not Crap:

TV star publishes bank details in anti-privacy editorial, gets ripped off

Jeremy Clarkson, a presenter for Top Gear on British TV, wrote a newspaper editorial that accused privacy activists of being hysterical over giant data-leaks (such as the British government repeatedly losing CDs bearing the financial details for 25 million households). To prove that identity theft wasn't a big deal, he included his bank account details in the article.

Whereupon someone promptly began making fraudulent withdrawals from his account.
