5i have to say (reluctantly), this is borderline "lesser of four evils". I don't really like the beatles. But George Harrison always seemed to avoid tabloids (except for when he was stabbed which he could have done nothing about) and stereotypes.
I vote George W. Harrison

6No John lovers yet? Has Paul successfully convinced everyone that he was the truly avant-garde Beatle? Is everyone still convinced Yoko broke up the band? Doesn't anybody love 'Unfinished Music Vol. 2'?

8I'd like to know in what way(s) Paul has tried to covince the public that he was the"truly avant garde Beatle".

9yeah paul is a waste of flesh at this point. you can't live off of your past forever. he did write a lot of good tunes, but still. I heard that he just bought the rights to their songs from Michael Jackson and changed the writing credits from saying Lennon/McCarthy to McCarthy/Lennon. apparently it is a big deal for him.
as far as favorite, i cant decide between George and John.

10I like Ringo the best just for the story about him going on holiday with his wife to Portugal and, being so enamoured with the sea-life viewed during a glass-bottomed boat ride, he was inspired to write 'Octopus's Garden'.
OK, so not the greatest Beatle song. Perhaps not the greatest Beatle. But easily the most likeable. And, contrary to some people's opinion, he was an ace drummer.
Go Ringo, go.
